Mill Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our Mill Operations team at Aerotek. As a Production Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

• Respect and enforce Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies as an individual and as a team member.
• Learn and perform all bottom jobs within a department.
• Supply raw materials to machines, including cores, skids, blocks, and other materials necessary for operations.
• Move product around the Mill using hand trucks and clamp trucks.
• Assist operators with making splices and threading winders.
• Learn to perform jobs safely and efficiently.
• Monitor the quality of product at every operation.
• Assist with moving, weighing, taping, and labeling product.
• Perform cleanup duties for machine breaks or standard daily cleanups.
• Assist with threading machines.
• Participate in simple mechanical tasks, including rope installation and lubrication duties.
• Assist with Rewinding, Sheeting, and Wrapping operations.
• Clean up broke generated by machines and recycle back into the process.
