We are seeking an experienced Pupil Transportation Trainer to join our team at Lincoln Public Schools. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality training to drivers and staff on safe driving practices, student safety, and transportation policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct training sessions for new drivers, covering topics such as defensive driving techniques, emergency procedures, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Develop and implement training programs for transportation staff, emphasizing the importance of following safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all staff members understand their roles and responsibilities in ensuring student safety.

To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent communication and instructional skills, with the ability to adapt your training style to meet the needs of diverse learners. A competitive salary of $27.59 per hour, plus benefits, is offered for this exciting opportunity.

Essential Qualifications
  • Valid Class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements.
  • At least three years of experience as a school bus driver in Nebraska.
  • Proven track record of delivering effective training programs.

This is a 260-day contract position with hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
