Perioperative and Recovery Excellence Team


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate physician to join our Hospital Medicine team, focusing on patient care within our innovative hospital-at-home initiative and perioperative surgical home clinic.


As part of a dynamic team, you will leverage your expertise in hospital medicine to deliver care in both home and surgical settings, becoming proficient in perioperative medical practices and telehealth solutions. You will gain valuable insights into providing acute care services in the comfort of patients' homes, catering to those who would typically require inpatient care.


Support from a committed medical director and clinical staff will enhance your experience, along with collaboration from fellow hospitalists across our multisite network.

Compensation Range:
$306,000 to $340,000 annually based on experience and performance with quality incentives.

The ideal candidate will focus on preoperative evaluations and optimization of surgical patients, ensuring they are in optimal condition for their procedures.

This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care, enhance surgical outcomes, and improve overall patient satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

Preoperative Risk Assessment and Optimization:

  • Conduct thorough preoperative evaluations, including comprehensive medical histories and risk assessments.
  • Order and interpret essential diagnostic tests to ensure patients' health is optimized prior to surgery.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to develop personalized preoperative care plans.

  • Identify and manage medical conditions that may impact surgical outcomes.
  • Implement strategies to mitigate surgical risks, optimizing chronic conditions and addressing acute issues.

The ideal candidate will deliver acute medical care to patients in their homes, ensuring high-quality, hospital-level care in a familiar setting.

This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to manage various acute and chronic conditions, aiming to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Care:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients referred to the Hospital at Home Care Program.
  • Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical history.
  • Provide acute care management for conditions typically requiring hospitalization.
  • Monitor patient progress through telehealth consultations and follow-up visits.
  • Adjust care plans based on patient responses and changes in condition.

Care Coordination:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure understanding of care plans.

Qualifications

Requirements include:

  • Medical Degree
  • Completed ACGME Residency Training
  • Board Certification - American Board of Internal Medicine
  • ACLS, Washington State Medical License and DEA in good standing

Pay Range
$161.83 /hour
