As a CDL Driver Examiner, you will be responsible for coordinating tests with the Driver Training Department, administering behind-the-wheel tests, and collaborating closely with DMV, the Training Department, and the Safety Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate tests with the Driver Training Department
  • Administer behind-the-wheel tests in various conditions
  • Communicate and collaborate with DMV, the Training Department, and the Safety Department
  • Accurately and timely perform paperwork associated with training and testing
  • Collaborate with the team to design and improve the training platform
  • Stay up-to-date on New York regulations for school buses
  • Obtain and maintain NYS Article 19-A Certified Examiner status

Requirements

  • Hold a driver's license with A PS or B PS endorsements for at least 18 months
  • Experience in training school bus drivers in Class B PS and Class C PS vehicles
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record with less than 7 points currently on record
  • NYS Article 19-A certified
  • High school diploma
