United Digestive is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an Infusion Nurse. This is a travel position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide infusion services to adult and pediatric patients.
Responsibilities- Administer infusions/injections of biologics and other medications as prescribed
- Monitor patient history and provide feedback to physicians for any concerns or issues arising between infusions
- Ensure that each patient encounter is completed and documented in accordance with operational guidance and policies
- Provide patient education for prescribed medications being administered in the infusion center
- Communicate with internal/external personnel and patients as needed in a timely and efficient manner
- Coordinate with supervising/prescribing providers for any concerns related to the administration of patient care services
- Support all requests for information about patient encounters and documentation that are required for appropriate and timely coding/billing completion
- Provide oversight and delegation of nursing care activities delivered by unlicensed staff members as appropriate
- Travel between multiple sites as required for business needs
- Current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- 1-3 years of infusion related experience
- Excellent IV administration skills
- Computer operations and the ability to work within clinic EMR
- Ability to communicate with patients, co-workers, physicians, and others in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to maintain composure and set a professional example at all times
- Ability to work under pressure and assess, respond, and communicate issues in a timely manner
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks as delegated by UD leadership
