Acadia Healthcare is seeking an experienced Environmental Safety Director to lead our team in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of our facilities.

Job Summary:

The Environmental Safety Director will be responsible for supporting and advising our facilities in maintaining a safe and clean environment for excellent patient care. This includes ensuring compliance with EOC rules and standards, accrediting bodies, state and federal laws and regulations, and fire and life safety codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and advise facilities in maintaining a safe and clean environment
  • Oversee implementation and training of a computer-based system for work ordering and routine maintenance
  • Develop and review standard-set EOC policies and procedures
  • Provide expert guidance on EOC policy development and regulatory compliance
  • Represent Acadia Healthcare before accrediting and regulatory agencies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of experience in healthcare operations at the administrative/leadership level
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission, CARF, and CMS standards and regulations
  • Knowledge of NFPA, ANSI, IBC, IFC, OSHA, EPA, and CDC codes and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification
  • Knowledge of facilities operations and maintenance, architecture, construction, and engineering principles
