Millwork/Furniture Maker Job Description

ARBR Studios, a renowned luxury millwork and furniture manufacturer in Rochester, NY, is seeking an experienced Millwork/Furniture maker with expertise in custom fabricated products, including kitchens, bars, and closets.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and layouts to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Utilize PC-based software to understand drawings provided by engineers and designers.
  • Have a working knowledge of various materials, including wood, veneer, plastic laminates, solid surfaces, particle board, MDF, and more.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to daily cleaning schedules.
  • Follow instructions from project managers and designers, communicating daily progress.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Carpentry knowledge, including installation of rollouts, accessories, cabinet doors, glides, and hardware.
  • Advanced woodworking skills, including advanced joinery, machinery operation, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with high-profile clients.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects from start to completion, ensuring organized information flow.
