We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Student Transportation of New Hampshire. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on large commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough, accurate preventative maintenance inspections.
- Complete all required maintenance operations, including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation.
- Perform unscheduled maintenance as needed, following direction from the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform complex operations, including engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs and field tests.
- Perform emergency roadside services as needed.
- Inspect equipment and diagnose mechanical defects.
- Document repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately.
- Maintain tools and workplaces in a neat and orderly condition.
- 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or mechanic preferred.
- Accreditation from a school or certification program preferred.
- Complete all training requirements.
- Pre-employment background checks.
