Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled diagnostic radiologist, preferably with subspecialty training in Interventional Radiology, to join a reputable hospital-based private practice.
About the Practice:
Mountain Empire Radiology is a thriving and innovative group located in the scenic region of northeast Tennessee. Our practice consists of 25 dedicated diagnostic and interventional radiologists who provide comprehensive coverage for various hospital facilities associated with the Ballad Healthcare System. Our primary facility is the Johnson City Medical Center, a 400-bed tertiary care center recognized as a Level 1 Trauma Center and a Stroke Center of Excellence. Additionally, we have a pediatric facility, Niswonger Children's Hospital, situated on the same campus.
Our practice extends its services to six other acute care hospitals across Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, backed by a long-standing exclusive partnership with our institutional affiliates.
Compensation and Benefits:

Located in the picturesque Appalachian Mountains, this region serves a population of approximately 500,000. Qualifications:
Candidates must be board certified or eligible and possess the ability to secure licenses in Tennessee and Virginia. Proficiency in the full range of Interventional services is required, including oncology, GI/Biliary, urological procedures, and lower extremity venous and arterial interventions, as well as basic biopsies and drainage techniques. Willingness to train in stroke thrombectomy is essential, with internal training provided. Diagnostic call is not required, and IR call is limited to one location with a rotation of 1:3, ensuring equitable coverage among partners and associates.
