About the Role

This experienced position is a key opportunity for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Jacobs. As an Electrical Systems Design Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing design drawings and specifications for new SCADA systems to meet client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate various SCADA system upgrade paths (both software and hardware) and recommend solutions to clients.
  • Evaluate and recommend different instrumentation solutions for best fit for a given design challenge.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project design teams develop bid drawing packages for clients.
  • Design and implement SCADA HMI screen programming according to a project's control narrative.
  • Develop PLC programming according to a control narrative (Rockwell, Modicon, Siemens specifically).
  • Field commission programmed SCADA systems working in coordination with contractors, electricians, client staff and operators.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 60 months of work experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Expertise/knowledge of controls engineering, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), control narratives for process systems, water and wastewater industry and processes, SCADA programming platforms including Wonderware and FactoryTalk, and PLC programming platform Rockwell automation.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $145,413 to $155,800 per year, depending on location and other factors.
