We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist II to join our team at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital. As an Occupational Therapist II, you will play a vital role in evaluating and developing therapy plans for patients with a broad range of diagnoses and acuities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to identify their level of function and develop treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Implement occupational therapy treatment plans, including education and training for patients, family members, and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to modify treatment plans and achieve patient-specific goals.
  • Provide education and guidance to nursing and support staff, as well as precept students and clinical fellows.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices and process improvements.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for occupational therapy.
  • Three years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, or two years of experience with a Doctorate degree, or completion of a HM or comparable Occupational Therapy Fellowship/Residency program.
  • State licensure compact license acceptable according to current Board requirements within 90 days.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong assessment, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function independently and handle challenging/difficult therapy procedures and patient care situations.
  • Proficient computer knowledge and ability to operate multiple computer systems and standard rehabilitation equipment.
