Job Overview:

Position Summary:
Responsible for the preparation of specimens for diagnostic evaluation; executes and documents waived, moderate, or high complexity clinical laboratory tests. Ensures adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complies with regulatory standards set forth by organizations such as FACT, AABB, ACHI, CAP, FDA, and the Joint Commission. Participates in the education of students and staff as needed. Operates under the guidance of the Laboratory Director in accordance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988, CFR Section a).

Essential Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of experience in microbiology is required. Experience in molecular biology is not acceptable as a substitute.

Proficiency in interpreting Gram Stains, particularly Positive Blood Cultures, AFB Stains, KOH stains, Fungal Stains, Parasitology stains, and conducting Molecular PCR testing is essential.


Work Schedule:
Evening shifts commencing at either 12 PM or 4 PM. Availability to work every other weekend is mandatory.

Work Environment:
Position requires onsite presence at the medical facility.

Potential for Conversion/FTE:
Possibility exists.

Interview Process:
Interviews will be conducted onsite. The manager may request an initial phone screening prior to scheduling an onsite interview.
