Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician collaborates closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure optimal property functionality and timely resolution of maintenance requests. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems, appliance repairs, carpentry, and painting tasks. The technician will also be required to be available for on-call duties during evenings and weekends for emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Address service requests promptly and professionally, ensuring successful completion of all assigned tasks.
- Prepare vacant units for new occupants by performing essential tasks such as painting, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Maintain a high work pace while ensuring quality standards are met, allowing other maintenance staff to fulfill their roles effectively.
- Repair wall damage, caulk gaps around windows and doors, and address ceiling issues, including texture repairs and patching.
- Accurately log all actions and materials used in the work order system to maintain operational efficiency.
- Build positive relationships with residents through exceptional customer service.
- Carry out additional duties as required or assigned.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies.
- Conduct all activities in compliance with company policies and relevant legal regulations.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in maintenance within residential, commercial, or mechanical settings.
- Proficient in identifying and resolving issues related to electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
- Strong time management abilities, capable of adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license.
