Position Overview
As a Silicon Validation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the lab characterization and validation of various analog and mixed-signal embedded circuits. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to successfully launch cutting-edge mobile System on Chips (SoCs) that enhance user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct bench testing, debugging, and characterization of embedded on-chip circuitry, including PLLs, DLLs, clocks, data converters, DDR memory, and various I/O interfaces.
- Develop and implement benchtop electrical tests to evaluate on-chip circuitry using FPGA, JTAG, SPI, and analog interfaces.
- Create and execute scripts to automate testing processes, extract results, and generate comprehensive reports utilizing database and analytical tools.
- Prepare reports for characterization and debugging to provide valuable design feedback.
- Perform in-system PI/SI measurements to correlate with simulation models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, System Hardware, and Software, to ensure product success.
- Support Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and Product Engineering efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Experience in Analog Mixed Signal (AMS) test development, including specification review, validation planning, test bench construction, and data collection automation.
- Strong foundational knowledge of analog and mixed-signal circuitry in areas such as PLLs, data converters, DDR memory, and temperature sensors.
- Proficiency in using laboratory instruments, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and pattern generators.
- Experience with scripting languages, preferably Python, for test automation and data analysis.
- Commitment to quality results and a proactive approach to ownership and responsibility in driving deliverables.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Hands-on lab experience, including soldering and system instrumentation, is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
Education & Experience
A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required, along with a minimum of three years of relevant industry experience.
