Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at Goodwill Industries of Ashtabula, Inc. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials throughout our donated goods cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as tow motors and pallet jacks, to move materials safely and efficiently.
  • Organize and load trucks, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs as required.
  • Perform maintenance duties as assigned and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Comply with all safety and security policies to ensure a secure work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic reading, writing, and counting skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in an office and warehouse setting.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous material handling experience a plus.
Work Environment

Our warehouse environment can be physically demanding, with prolonged lifting and standing. You will be exposed to various environmental conditions, including all weather conditions.
