Resident Monitor

Job Summary
The Resident Monitor is a critical role at Keeton Corrections, Inc. responsible for ensuring the accountability of male and female offenders 24/7. This part-time hourly position requires a high level of attention to detail and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Report accountability violations to Supervisors on a daily basis.
- Maintain relationships with community organizations and sources.
- Assure offender accountability through proper sign in/out procedures.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety, security, and sanitation inspections.
- Document and inform Supervisors of findings.
- Conduct on-site collection of urine samples, vehicle searches, pat searches, and facility searches.
- Initiate monthly fire drills and report violations to Supervisors.
- Assist in familiarizing offenders with emergency procedures.
- Assist with meal distribution and submit reports in a timely manner.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
- Maintain effective relationships with staff and uphold all policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing and walking for long periods.
Compensation
$16.20 per hour, plus $4.57 fringe benefit.
