Respiratory Therapist Opportunity

Pride Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team for a 13-week contract position in Milford, MA. This is a 40-hour per week, night shift position offering guaranteed hours with a salary range of $2,200 - $2,400 per week. The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide critical care services in a hospital or healthcare facility, primarily working the night shift. This role is perfect for experienced respiratory therapists who have a background in adult critical care and are eager to contribute to patient care during the overnight hours. The role will include shift work with every other weekend and holiday responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures for critically ill patients.
- Monitor patient respiratory status, adjusting treatments as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist with intubations, ventilation, and airway management for patients in acute respiratory distress.
- Ensure all respiratory equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and therapy results.
- Participate in patient assessments and assist with diagnosing and managing respiratory conditions.
- Provide education to patients and families on respiratory care.
- Follow all safety and infection control procedures.
- Adhere to hospital policies and maintain patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
- Experience: Prior experience in adult critical care preferred.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Other Requirements: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-stress environment, with strong communication and critical thinking skills.
