Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Seldovia Village Tribe IRA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations: Greet patients and visitors, respond to phone calls and in-person requests, and direct them to the appropriate staff member.
  • Patient Registration and Scheduling: Complete patient registration and scheduling processes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is maintained in our electronic health record system.
  • Revenue Cycle Management: Collect patient payments, manage cash handling, and perform daily reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Confidentiality and Security: Maintain the confidentiality and security of patient health information (PHI) in accordance with federal and state privacy laws and regulations.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with ICWA and Mandatory Reporting laws, and report any concerns or issues to the appropriate authorities.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inventory Management: Manage office supplies, restock as needed, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Travel Coordination: Coordinate travel arrangements for provider staff, including booking flights, hotels, and rental cars.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless operations and high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and database programs, with experience in Practice Management Software and Electronic Health Record systems preferred.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and supporting the healthcare team.
  • Reliability: Regular, consistent, and on-time attendance is critical to the success of this position.
  • Background Check: Must pass a background check and fingerprinting prior to employment.
Work Environment

Seldovia Village Tribe IRA is a drug-free, alcohol-free, and tobacco-free work environment. This position requires the ability to sit for prolonged periods of time working at a computer. The job is considered stressful but highly rewarding.
