Key Responsibilities- Perioperative Care: Provide comprehensive perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, including pre-operative preparation, intra-operative care, and post-operative recovery.
- Surgical Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless surgical care.
- Equipment Management: Maintain and manage surgical equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment.
- Patient Education: Provide education to patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care and surgical procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Education: Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse academic program (BSN or ADN).
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse licensure in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience: Three (3) years of recent Operating Room RN work experience.
- Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift.
- Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Carrying: Ability to carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
- Pushing/Pulling: Ability to push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
