Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Maintain a friendly and positive demeanor while interacting with guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of drink preparation and presentation, adhering to company and state sanitation regulations.
  • Operational Efficiency: Keep the bar area organized and clean, including washing glassware and tidying surfaces.
  • Inventory Management: Replenish supplies as necessary, including alcohol, ice, and garnishes, during slower periods.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Accurately manage all transactions, ensuring proper accounting of sales through the POS system.
  • Handle cash and credit payments with precision.

Sales and Marketing:

  • Collaborate with management to drive sales growth and enhance profitability.
  • Implement strategies to boost guest satisfaction and increase beverage sales.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the drink menu to effectively upsell items.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
  • Strictly follow guidelines to prevent over-serving alcohol and verify the age of patrons.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a bar setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to various roles within the bar.
  • Ability to follow drink recipes accurately and maintain consistent pour sizes.
  • Capability to remain composed in high-pressure situations and effectively manage guest feedback.
  • TIPS Certification is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Proficient in operating the POS system.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret business documents and regulations.
  • Mathematical proficiency for handling financial transactions and calculations.
  • Problem-solving abilities to navigate various operational challenges.

Physical Requirements:

  • Position involves frequent movement, including walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
