Division Focus
Within ITW, the Food Equipment Group is acknowledged globally for providing top-tier, energy-efficient foodservice equipment. We are currently seeking a proactive and innovative Manufacturing Production Planner to join our team, focusing on the Ovens and Heated Holding sectors.
Position Summary
This role is integral to the planning and scheduling of production activities, ensuring timely product delivery while adhering to rigorous safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of manufacturing processes, materials management, and supply chain logistics, complemented by strong problem-solving skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Core Functions (80%)
- Safety and Continuous Improvement: Uphold safety protocols and housekeeping standards to foster a secure workplace.
- Production Planning: Create and manage accurate production schedules for Convection Ovens and Heated Holding, aligning with customer commitments and optimizing resource use.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Facilitate communication between production teams and other departments to ensure alignment and operational readiness.
- Inventory Oversight: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to maintain adequate supply without excess.
- Performance Monitoring: Maintain detailed records of production schedules and inventory, preparing reports for management review.
Business-Specific Functions (20%)
- Oversee metrics reporting to track production performance and identify improvement areas.
- Manage product identification processes to ensure accurate traceability.
- Utilize ITW methodologies to inform decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.
Education and Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience in production scheduling or coordination within a manufacturing context is required. An associate's degree in a relevant field may substitute for experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Proficiency in production scheduling, effective communication, and a strong commitment to safety standards are essential.
The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Work is conducted in both an industrial setting and an office environment, with a standard workweek from Monday to Friday.
