Nurse Education Specialist

The Nurse Education Specialist at Nationwide Children's Hospital plays a vital role in the onboarding process, supervising competency processes, and assessing learning needs of clinical staff. This position requires collaboration with leadership to ensure organizational and department goals are met.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement education plans for clinical staff, including new hire orientations and skills education.
- Collaborate with leadership and Professional Development to identify education, competency, and staff development needs.
- Design and deliver educational sessions, including formal classroom events and informal group or individual sessions.
- Participate in committees and projects as identified by leadership, serving as a consultant or facilitator as needed.
- Communicate with the clinical team using adult learning principles, managing processes such as a monthly newsletter.
EDUCATION: MSN or related field required.
LICENSURE: RN, State of Ohio
CERTIFICATIONS: Preferred Certification in Professional Development/Education, Leadership or Clinical Specialty
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 6 years of experience as an RN required, pediatric experience preferred
