We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Ascension Saint Agnes in Baltimore, Maryland. As a key member of our operating room staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Professional Nursing Care: Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
- Perform Scrub Functions: Select and handle instruments and supplies used during procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment.
- Perform Circulating Functions: Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition, managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist Operating Physicians: Directly assist surgeons with tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure, as well as patient positioning.
- Prepare Operating Room: Prepare operating room and surgical instruments and equipment for use, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Licensure and Certification: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in the operating room.
