Job Overview

Role Summary: As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring production targets are met while upholding the highest standards of quality. This position is with a prominent designer and manufacturer of fiber optic networking solutions, catering to expanding markets such as cable television broadband, fiber-to-the-home, and internet data centers.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute comprehensive inspections of incoming materials, ongoing production, and finished goods to verify adherence to quality standards.
  • Utilize specialized equipment to perform precise measurements and tests, ensuring compliance with established specifications.
  • Record and report inspection findings, highlighting any defects or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with production teams to swiftly address and rectify quality-related concerns.
  • Engage in root cause analysis and implement corrective measures to mitigate future quality issues.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of inspections and quality control processes in line with company protocols.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by suggesting enhancements to quality control methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Demonstrated experience in quality control, inspection, or a similar role within a manufacturing context
  • Familiarity with using microscopes, hand tools, computers, and tweezers
  • Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
  • Experience with SAP, MES, or other inventory and quality management systems is highly desirable
  • Preference for candidates with prior quality control experience
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening
