Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate discussions with various City of Phoenix Department personnel to document requirements and specifications
• Develop and document functional specifications associated with system enhancements
• Ensure clarity of documented requirements to prevent scope creep, gold plating, or non-value-added activities
• Document business requirements according to industry best practices and City of Phoenix PMO processes
• Document functional workflow diagrams to capture business goals and high-level scope
• Coordinate project deliverables with the Project Manager, including project meeting scheduling, activity tracking, and status report creation
Requirements:
• Prior successful experience as a Business Analyst, with prior IT experience and knowledge of the software lifecycle (waterfall and/or agile)
• Ability to develop requirements based on professional standards (i.e., PMI or similar)
• Four-year degree or equivalent education in Information Technology, or related field, with minimum five years' experience as a business analyst working on IT projects
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with business objectives and industry best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional and current certification in PMI is a PLUS (PMP, Agile, and/or similar certification)
