Resident Assessment Specialist RN

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Clinical Operations Coordinator RN. This role will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument process, in accordance with CMS and OBRA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and document accurate assessments of patients to ensure comprehensive care planning.
  • Interview patients and families to gather information and ensure an accurate picture of the patient's psychosocial/medical status.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure accurate and timely completion of the MDS.
  • Utilize organizational skills to schedule and meet deadlines, while monitoring the overall medical record to validate support of MDS coding.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure timely completion of Resident assessment Protocols and Patient Care Plans.
  • Support the accuracy of medical record documentation through ongoing in-services to center partners.
  • Communicate effectively with the bookkeeping department to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • South Carolina RN (Registered Nurse) license.
  • Caring and compassionate attitude, with excellent communication skills and a positive demeanor.
  • Experience as an RN is preferred, but LPNs with MDS experience will be considered.
