About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in Morton Grove, Illinois. This role will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer advanced respiratory care procedures and modalities in accordance with established standards and policies.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Operate specialized ventilators and assist with bedside procedures as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and disease management strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field required.
  • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 12 months of hire date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills required.
