The primary responsibilities of this role encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Organizing tasks based on priorities and project plans.
  • Creating schedules and overseeing crew attendance.
  • Distributing daily and general responsibilities among team members.
  • Providing supervision, mentorship, and training for both new and existing staff.
  • Ensuring that manpower and resources are sufficient for project needs.
  • Facilitating communication among all project personnel to preemptively address potential issues and to identify and resolve problems as they occur.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Overseeing the operation of machinery and equipment.
  • Monitoring project expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Reporting progress to management and engineering teams.

Additionally, this role includes conducting weekly safety meetings and ensuring that all on-site personnel adhere to OSHA regulations and company policies. Responsibilities also involve operating various equipment, performing general labor tasks, and fulfilling other construction-related duties as necessary.

Administrative tasks such as preparing and submitting time sheets, accident reports, safety meeting notes, safety audits, maintenance logs, expense reports, and affirmative action reports in a timely and accurate manner are also essential.
