Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Anesthesia Equipment Specialist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As an Anesthesia Equipment Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms by setting up, calibrating, and troubleshooting anesthesia equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists with invasive and non-invasive monitoring devices on patients
  • Prepare and setup equipment for use, ensuring proper sterile technique
  • Perform quality control and troubleshooting on assigned anesthesia equipment
  • Maintain equipment in good working order through regular inspections
  • Restock cabinets and return unused supplies to their designated locations
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Anesthesia Technician program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Basic Life Support certification required
  • One year of operating room experience involving direct patient care and/or equipment maintenance and calibration (or equivalent experience)
