About the Job

MasTec Advanced Technologies is seeking a skilled Fiber Installation Technician to join our team. As a Fiber Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, splicing, and terminating fiber-optic cables and connectors in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and splice fiber-optic cables and connectors in both indoor and outdoor settings
  • Repair and terminate fiber-optic cables and connectors as needed
  • Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and equipment used
  • Generate accurate reports on work completed and document network configurations
  • Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility, and responsibility in the performance of work assignments
  • Ensure that the highest quality of service is provided to promote superior customer satisfaction
Requirements
  • Climb ladders and meet manufacturer's safety requirements on equipment used
  • Lift 60-80 pounds and climb 28-36 foot ladders
  • Work in environments that are not heated or air conditioned, and work may be inside or outside, not dependent on weather
  • Work may require kneeling, crawling, bending, or other positions that may be uncomfortable
  • Valid driver's license
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test, criminal background check, and MVR (driving record) check
  • Work a flexible schedule that includes weekends or evenings
