We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical ICU Department as a full-time nurse. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver advanced professional and technical nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with real or potential life-threatening illnesses.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards.
- Perform nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of patients.
- Participate in performance improvement to maintain provision of quality care.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments and examinations of patients.
- Assist in planning, supervising, and instructing secretaries and nursing assistants to provide care to a number of patients.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work in a stressful fast-paced environment.
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition.
- Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others.
- A year of experience in nursing, particularly in telemetry, is preferred.
- Clinical competence and basic computer knowledge are required.
- Successful completion of Critical Care Course is preferred.
- Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
- Current Florida Registered Nurse Licensure and current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification are required.
