Job Summary

Cynet Health is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a PTA, you will play a critical role in helping patients regain their range of motion, manage their pain, and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatment to patients suffering from injuries or chronic health conditions.
  • Review physician referrals and patient medical records to determine the required physical therapy treatment.
  • Communicate effectively with charge nurses, co-workers, and physicians to ensure seamless care.
  • Enter and verify orders in the computer system.
  • Test and measure patients' strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
  • Develop and implement treatment programs based on patient data.
  • Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
  • Apply physical agents, such as hydrotherapy tanks and whirlpool baths, to relieve pain.
  • Evaluate treatment effects and adjust treatments as needed.
  • Record treatment, response, and progress in patients' charts.
  • Instruct patients and families on treatment procedures to be continued at home.
  • Orient, instruct, and direct work activities of assistants and aides.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
  • Current PTA license in good standing.
  • One year of experience as a PTA in a healthcare setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
