LPN, Hand Upper Extremity Clinic, 40 Hours, Days

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at UMass Memorial Health Care. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and obtain patients' basic health status, records, and related data according to standard procedure and needs of patients and their families.
- Administer medications, perform treatments as ordered, and operate equipment according to policy and procedure.
- Perform venipuncture using aseptic technique, 12 lead EKGs, and administer vaccinations.
- Participate in implementation and evaluation of care plan including long and short-term goals, nursing actions, and teaching.
- Document patient care according to standard procedure. Records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient condition to Provider and/or RN and assists in analyzing and interpreting patient data.
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current Massachusetts licensure required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of basic nursing procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required to gather information from individuals, build relationships that support collaborative work within the department and across the organization and provide exceptional service to patients.
