Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Assistant - Brattleboro VT

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Assistant to join our team at Della Infotech in Brattleboro, VT.

Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Nurse Assistant will provide high-quality patient care in our Child Adolescent Unit, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take and record vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, temperature, and intake/output.
  • Interview patients to determine their general health status and record information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Collect, store, and deliver specimens for toxicology testing, adhering to established criteria.
  • Obtain release of information documentation as required.
  • Administer general health screening tools to new and existing patients.
  • Communicate patient information to the treatment team, including incident reports and hazard/near miss reports.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and serve as a role model for patients, adhering to program guidelines.
  • Care for patients' property and set limits when necessary.
  • Role model and orient new Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) to the unit.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and proficiency in computer use.
  • Recognize and report unusual symptoms and address special needs as they arise.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Psych/Behavioral Health, with consideration given to first-time travelers.
  • Willingness to float to other units, including the Child/Adolescent Unit.
  • Profile Requirements: Resume, Skills Checklist, and 2 supervisory references from the last 2 years of employment.
  • Certifications: BLS (AHA) and COVID vaccination and booster.
