Our Telecommunications Division has been a leader in developing next-generation wireless communication infrastructure for over four decades. We specialize in a comprehensive range of services from network development to complete telecom lifecycle solutions. As the wireless landscape continues to evolve, the need for innovative technologies and enduring support services remains steadfast. Our offerings encompass site acquisition, design, construction, and full operational support, including maintenance and deconstruction.
Role Overview
The Telecom Construction Manager oversees the construction timeline, budget, and quality assurance of projects. This role also involves managing the resources engaged in construction activities, including direct reports, matrix staff, and vendor and subcontractor teams.
- Ensure adherence to the company's safety protocols, reviewing and implementing daily job site safety plans, and halting work when unsafe practices or conditions are identified.
- Possess a solid understanding and experience in Construction and Material/BOM Management, collaborating with various departments.
- Engage with the client's engineering team while leveraging the company's engineering and management teams for informed decision-making.
- Responsible for scheduling, tracking, measuring, and reporting progress on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to key stakeholders.
- Conduct on-site evaluations of specific ongoing construction projects.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in wireless construction is required.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- Availability for day, night, and weekend work to support project completion is necessary.
- Active OSHA-30 Certification or higher is preferred.
- Willingness to travel is essential.
Physical Requirements: This role involves intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Hand manipulation is necessary for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor tasks. The ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds is required. Candidates must be alert to equipment in the field, as travel is involved, and work will occur near construction site equipment. There may be occasional exposure to hazardous equipment and machinery, as well as the need to navigate uneven terrain, dust, gas, fumes, noise, and varying temperature or humidity conditions.
