About the Role

The Certified Nursing Assistant/Technician provides personalized care to patients in various healthcare settings under the guidance of a licensed professional. This role requires delivering nursing care tailored to the age and needs of the patient population.

Requirements
  • Completion of a state-approved certified nursing program or successful passing of a competency evaluation program meeting state regulations
  • Unrestricted certification as a C.N.A. and meets state-specific certification requirements
  • At least six months of work experience as a C.N.A. in a healthcare setting
  • Current CPR certification and other health and screening tests as required by specific facilities and/or regulatory agencies
Responsibilities
  • Comply with ATC policies and procedures
  • Comply with client facility nursing policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices in accordance with HIPAA
  • Communicate effectively with appropriate personnel
  • Document patient care as assigned in accordance with facility policies and procedures
  • Follow the patient's plan of care as assigned
  • Deliver personal care services to patients as assigned
  • Take vital signs and document according to facility protocols
  • Record patient input and output as assigned
  • Maintain competency by participating in continuing education programs and meets state-specific requirements
  • Provide patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner considering cultural diversity and age appropriateness
