Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Boston Medical Center. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our healthcare team, and contribute to the development of our clinical programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up, under the direction of physicians.
  • Perform age and specialty-appropriate physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines.
  • Supervise and educate patients and families on health-related topics, utilizing principles of adult learning.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices, research, and guidelines to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing required, with completion of an accredited educational program for nurse practitioners.
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, with authorization to practice in an expanded role.
  • Registered with the ANCC or other accrediting organization for Nurse Practitioners, and registered with the State of Massachusetts and DEA for prescription writing privileges.
  • Minimum of three years of current clinical nursing experience, with prior experience in similar clinical settings or specialties preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expert clinical judgment and ability to work independently in an expanded role.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Full command of the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Computer proficiency, including the ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data and information.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 8-hour days, in our Ambulatory Clinic. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
