When a cherished pet approaches the end of their journey, our goal is to ensure they experience comfort and peace in a familiar environment. The End-of-Life Veterinarian at Direct Jobs is dedicated to assisting clients who wish to be present with their pets during their final moments.

Position Overview:

The End-of-Life Veterinarian offers in-home euthanasia and end-of-life care services to our patients throughout the region. While your primary base will be one of our partner facilities, you will cater to clients who may not be regular patients at these locations. This role is predominantly mobile, focusing on delivering compassionate in-home euthanasia services and conducting Quality of Life assessments. It is essential for veterinarians in this position to exhibit a profound level of empathy and to work autonomously. Excellent communication skills and a strong organizational ability are critical for success in this role. Candidates with 2-5 years of experience in general veterinary practice or emergency care, along with a solid understanding of end-of-life services, are encouraged to consider this opportunity.

Service Areas:

This position primarily involves mobile practice, requiring travel to various locations to provide in-home euthanasia services.

Job Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks such as walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching consistently throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable with extended periods of driving.
