Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in the NICU, you will play a pivotal role in providing direct nursing care to critically ill newborns requiring specialized care.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient-centered nursing care to infants with complex medical conditions, including premature birth and life-threatening illnesses.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, providers, and specialists to coordinate patient care and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer medications, perform tests, and monitor vital signs to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Collaborate with families and caregivers to educate them on infant care and provide support during the hospital stay.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting required.
  • 1 year of nursing experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit preferred.
