Key Responsibilities:

The Security and Safety Officer will perform a variety of essential duties, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting security operations, including electronic surveillance and systematic patrols
  • Coordinating responses to potential issues affecting patients, staff, and visitors
  • Enforcing hospital policies and procedures with fairness and consistency
  • Implementing safety guidelines and monitoring techniques to ensure a secure workplace
  • Participating in staff training and awareness programs
  • Driving as necessary for hospital-related duties
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Certification from the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) is preferred
  • A valid driver's license must be maintained
  • Experience in healthcare security or a related field is preferred
  • Current DMV report is required
