About the Position

We are seeking a talented Cybersecurity Intern to join our team in Carlsbad, CA. As a member of our Building Control Systems Wattstopper Team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in cybersecurity and contribute to the company's efforts in protecting its digital assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of ioXt certifications and their requirements.
  • Contribute to the implementation of ISO 27001 across the company.
  • Support development teams in security penetration testing.
  • Track product progress in resolving security vulnerabilities.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in a computer science or engineering field with an emphasis on cybersecurity.
  • Working towards a degree in computer science, information systems, or cybersecurity.
  • Completed at least one class in cybersecurity or information systems security.

Desirable Skills:

  • A basic understanding of cybersecurity in IP-connected devices such as key management and security vulnerability testing.
  • Strong communication skills – ability to adapt between highly technical audiences and business audiences with ease.
  • Strong organizational skills – ability to take a complex set of related activities and identify dependencies.
  • Risk Management – ability to identify risks to schedule and security based on vulnerability testing results; identify responsible individuals and follow-up frequently to achieve resolution.
  • Critical Thinking – ability to remain objective in analyzing situations; stay calm, distinguish between root cause vs. symptoms.
  • Task Management – ability to multitask and prioritize work according to business needs.

Compensation Package: We offer a competitive salary range of $22.00-$25.00/hourly.
