CNA Training and Certification Opportunity

At MaineHealth, we offer a unique opportunity for individuals to embark on a career in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Through our apprenticeship program, you will gain hands-on experience and skills in direct patient care while earning a competitive salary.
Earn $17.34 per hour as a CNA Apprentice, working 32 hours a week for six weeks. Our comprehensive training program covers 70 hours of classroom instruction, 20 hours of essential skills labs, and 40 hours of clinical training at one of our five hospital sites.
Upon completion of the program, you will be eligible to take the state certification exam to become a licensed CNA. As a MaineHealth employee, you will enjoy benefits such as paid parental leave, flexible work arrangements, student loan assistance, and well-being resources for you and your family.
To be eligible for this program, applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be accepted into an approved CNA training program. Upon satisfactory completion of the program, you will be considered for placement on the Maine State CNA Registry.
