The individual demonstrates strong decision-making capabilities and operates with a high degree of autonomy. Responsibilities include managing patient assignments and adapting schedules as necessary, while addressing patient concerns promptly and escalating issues to management when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitates daily patient care operations within the department and serves as a resource for healthcare professionals, providers, and support services.Independently manages various scheduling responsibilities and assignments.Assesses urgent situations and directs the nursing response during clinical emergencies.Reviews the schedule on a daily basis (2-3 days ahead) for proactive management.Conducts routine equipment inspections and ensures compliance with quality control measures.Engages in continuous rounding within the department to monitor patient flow and throughput, providing assistance as necessary.Maintains effective communication with the healthcare team, providers, and management through various channels, including digital communication and team meetings.Addresses inquiries from patients, providers, and both internal and external stakeholders, facilitating resolutions as needed.Contributes to departmental Quality Assurance initiatives and ensures adherence to regulatory standards and procedures.Acts as a mentor, resource, and guide for new healthcare team members and nursing students.Participates in the orientation, training, and competency assessment of new staff (following completion of validator training).Delivers at least one (1) educational training session annually.May undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
At least two (2) years of current clinical nursing experience.A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a specialized clinical area.Educational Requirements:
Associate's degree in nursing.High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) is required.Licensure and Certification:
Registered Professional Nurse License (Georgia) is required upon hire.Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.Additional Qualifications:

Specialty Certification at the time of hire or within one (1) year.Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
