Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate examination and treatment of patients in a culturally sensitive manner with exceptional customer service
  • Contribute to patient care by preparing patients for visits, performing limited procedures, and maintaining patient records
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate and implement plans for patient care
  • Accurately schedule tests, obtain films and reports, and prepare laboratory specimens according to policy
  • Assist physicians and nurses with special procedures and examinations as defined on competency checklist
Requirements
  • High School Graduate
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or at least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant or CCMA/NCRMA certification
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) within 14 days
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or NCRMA
