Position Summary:

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor at 8th Avenue plays a crucial role in managing shift activities of our Warehouse teams. This position involves overseeing the flow of raw materials and finished products within and between facility locations and customer vehicles. Supervisors are responsible for ensuring team training and adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards concerning personnel safety, food safety, allergen management, FIFO, cycle counting, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is dedicated to fostering individual development, growth, and teamwork.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Promotes a culture of safety by setting a strong example and holding team members accountable.
  2. Fosters a positive and collaborative team environment that engages with cross-departmental partners.
  3. Conducts pre-shift planning, staffing, and communicates daily tasks and initiatives.
  4. Performs daily audits of inventory movements, allergen controls, and GMP compliance.
  5. Reviews work orders for kits (Warehouse) and/or shipments (Distribution Center) to ensure FIFO procedures are followed.
  6. Oversees the unloading of raw materials and/or kits from trucks into designated plant locations, assigning them to appropriate storage areas. For distribution center roles, ensures the unloading of finished goods and their proper assignment.
  7. Supports inventory accuracy by ensuring DSI barcode transactions are executed according to policies and procedures. Follows up with the team on empty location checks and conducts cycle counts to validate inventory levels.
  8. Ensures daily powered industrial truck inspections are completed in accordance with established policies and procedures; reports issues to the warehouse administrator for timely repairs.
  9. Utilizes the company maintenance work order system to submit facility repair requests.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in warehousing, distribution, and/or logistics.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Experience in food manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with powered industrial trucks (PIT).
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (scanners, etc.).
  • Experience with ERP systems (JDE strongly preferred).
  • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role.

Physical Requirements:

Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Capability to reach, grasp, and perform rapid, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work at or above shoulder height for short periods.
  • Capability to push, pull, bend, stretch, twist, and/or reach throughout the shift.
  • Ability to distinguish between sounds, such as forklift horns, fire alarms, and machine signals.
  • Comfortable working in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to work in dusty conditions.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for the entirety of the shift (8 hours).
  • Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods.
  • Comfortable climbing up and down stairs/ladders throughout the shift.

Wage: $20.00+ depending on experience.
