About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Clerk to join our team at UNC Health Care. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain demographic and financial information from patients and accurately input data into the Electronic Medical Recordkeeping system.
  • Answer incoming and outgoing calls, relay messages, and provide scripted instructions to patients.
  • Perform general clerical tasks, including scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars.
  • Collect and count cash receipts and daily deposits, ensuring balanced cash drawers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous medical clerical experience in a hospital, physician practice, clinic, nursing home, or insurance agency.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
