Third Shift (Nights)Sentara Leigh Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medicine Oncology Unit. We offer an attractive sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Become a vital part of our 2 East Fami-Leigh team, a 24-bed unit that caters to a diverse range of medical conditions, including diabetes, pulmonary issues, cardiac care, and end-of-life support, with a specialized focus on oncology patients.
We are committed to delivering exceptional healthcare experiences to our patients and their families. This part-time position requires 24 hours of work per week during the night shift.
As a Registered Nurse at Sentara, you will have the opportunity to excel in your career. We provide various specialties where you can enhance your nursing skills in areas that interest you. Opportunities for advancement into leadership roles or to elevate your level of care in diverse settings are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and admitting patients
- Conducting rounding checks
- Administering medications
- Communicating with family members
- Overseeing the overall care of patients
Teamwork is a cornerstone of our practice, with all staff collaborating to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.
Qualifications:
- Current RN License
- BSN or MSN preferred
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Completion of an Oncology Care ONS/ONCC or Sentara-approved Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider course within 6 months of hire
