Job Summary

The Sr Manufacturing Engineering Manager will establish and coordinate production activities in a glass manufacturing environment, ensuring the flow of materials, parts and assemblies between or within departments.

This role oversees monitors and coordinates production team activities, giving importance to individual members and overall team's achievement of established goals.

Main Position Responsibilities
  1. Direct the interrelated activities of the Forming, Machine Repair and Mould department employees.
  2. Manage and coordinate the activities and functions of these departments by providing overall guidance for the production process to ensure customer satisfaction.
  3. Establish and enforce policies and procedures relating to productivity, quality and safety.
  4. Develop new policies and procedures to address identified needs and communicate to all involved employees.
  5. Maintain good employee, management and union relations.
  6. Communicate the company established goals to all departments and employees.
  7. Conduct regular job change, planning and problem solving meetings.
  8. Maintain an effective preventative maintenance program.
  9. Resolve production problems such as ware defects, glass conditioning and equipment problems to maintain maxim operating and quality efficiencies.
  10. Maintain labor and spending within plant budget.
  11. Train and develop competent employees.
Employee Qualifications
  1. Bachelor in degree Engineering.
  2. 5-7 years supervisory experience.
  3. Microsoft Office proficient.
  4. Familiar with a variety of manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures.
