Position Overview

YURTECH LLC is looking for a Telecommunications Cabling Specialist who will play a crucial role in the design and execution of computer and information networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the installation of data cabling, conduct network tests, resolve issues, monitor cable functionality, and supervise contractor activities while prioritizing tasks and coordinating work schedules.
  • Engage with unshielded twisted pair, single- and multi-mode fiber optic, coaxial cable, or similar types.
  • Employ diagnostic tools to identify and rectify issues, maintain connections, or repair cabling.
  • Utilize instruments such as analog and digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, breakout boxes, cable scanners, LANmeters, portable sniffers, and fiber-optic light sources with power meters.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot intra-building fiber-optic cabling from Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDF) to wiring closets, terminating with LC and SC type fiber-optic connectors, and produce fiber patch cords.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and removal of cabling and hardware as required to support audiovisual equipment.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in electrical cable installation and repair.
  • Prior experience in networking, IT, or related fields.
  • Understanding of architectural specifications.
  • Familiarity with researching communication networks.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
