We are seeking a skilled Insulator/Sheet Metal Worker to join our team at Jacobs. As an Insulator/Sheet Metal Worker, you will be responsible for applying insulating materials to equipment and performing various sheet metal tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Apply insulating materials to exposed surfaces of equipment such as boilers, tanks, air ducts, or pipes.
- Perform techniques of cutting and applying insulation.
- Inspect applied insulation for conformance to specifications.
- Compile production and performance reports.
- Fabricate, install, and maintain sheet metal equipment and fixtures.
- Plan and lay out sheet metal maintenance work from blueprints, models, or specifications.
- Set up and operate sheet metal working machines.
- Use hand tools for cutting, bending, forming, shaping, fitting, and assembling sheet metal articles.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong technical skills and experience working with sheet metal and insulation materials. You should also be able to work independently and as part of a team.
